Construction Laborer II (Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm)

About The Position

Performs construction tasks including, but not limited to: Drywall (up to level 5 finish), Framing (from a set of plans, including quantity take-off), Flooring (repairs and entire projects, including preparation, installation, and finish work), Doors/Windows (installation and issue identification/fixing), Painting (with attention to detail and minimal rework), and T-bar ceilings (installation, knowledge of grid terminology and codes). The role also involves maintaining an organized tool cart/bag, requesting and replenishing materials, ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and SOPs, tracking project completion, communicating progress to management, proactively performing tasks, identifying efficient methods, and performing other duties as required.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level.
Minimum four (4) years of construction or related experience.

Responsibilities

Performs construction tasks including drywall up to level 5 finish.
Frames from a set of plans and identifies quantity take off on a project.
Repairs and handles entire flooring projects, including floor preparation, installation and finish work.
Installs framed doors and windows, and identifies and fixes door/window issues.
Paints with attention to detail with little to no rework.
Installs T-bar ceilings and has knowledge of ceiling grid terminology and codes.
Maintains an organized and stocked tool cart/bag.
Requests for and/or replenishes materials and supplies as necessary.
Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and wears protective equipment as required.
Tracks assigned construction projects/tasks and ensures completion in a timely manner while adhering to operational standards.
Communicates progress to project manager and/or supervisor.
Proactively performs construction projects/tasks, and identifies efficient methods to complete projects/tasks.
Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.
