About The Position

Action Traffic Maintenance, Inc. is a family-owned business with over 30 years of expertise and three generations working side by side. We have grown to over 100+ employees specializing in road signs, guardrails, high tension cable barriers, and fencing. By working directly with owners' architects, designers and representatives, we construct the most cost-effective and desirable product. Our goal is to provide premium workmanship at a great value while maintaining a safety-first environment. We are currently hiring team members to join our Guardrail and Signs teams which service the entire state of Michigan.

Requirements

Valid Driver's license required
Must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy
CDL A required
Problem-solving skills
Works well in a team environment where situations and demands change daily
Effective Communication Skills
Construction Experience
Construction Equipment Operation
Ability to accurately read a level and a tape measure
Ability to perform manual labor as required in an outdoor environment in the heat, sun, cold, and rain.

Nice To Haves

Any type of outdoor labor or construction work is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install all elements of signs statewide, including installing driver posts, setting/finishing foundations, erecting steel structures, removal and replacement, and finishing earthwork as needed.
Work on state highways, expressways, and various commercial applications.
Operate tools and equipment including, but not limited to, bucket trucks, loaders, and digger derricks.
Assist with the installation, repair, and removal of highway guardrail systems and related roadway safety infrastructure.
Work as part of a crew performing physically demanding outdoor work to ensure guardrail systems are installed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Follow safety procedures.
Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule.
