About The Position

Construction Interns will assist Project Managers and Project Superintendents in project planning, buyout, project management, and closeout. This role will involve assisting in obtaining, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and to the Landmark’s quality standards. The Summer Construction Internship program will run from June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026.

Requirements

  • Seeking a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science or Architecture preferred.
  • 1+ year of applicable coursework.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Critical thinker and self-starter capable of accomplishing a task with limited guidance and supervision.
  • Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about Landmark processes and procedures as they relate to managing the project.
  • Learn about Landmark safety and quality management programs and ensure contractor compliance.
  • Assist in managing the project budget by controlling expenditures, coordinating billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractors.
  • Learn how to maintain RFI logs and change request logs.
  • Assist in ensuring the overall success of costs and schedule.
  • Assist with reviewing and processing submittal data and shop drawings.
  • Assist with coordinating submittals, RFIs, deliveries and inspections, along with analyzing how they affect the project schedule.
  • Assist with completing daily logs, status reports and weekly subcontractor meeting minutes.
  • Assist with change requests and change proposals for price reviews.
  • Assist with documenting and taking progress photos of job sites.
  • Assist with resolving punch-list issues prior to occupancy.
  • Assist with obtaining occupancy of the project.
  • Assist with maintaining closeout logs and obtaining all closeout documents, warranties and log information.
  • Assist with obtaining Certificate of Substantial Completion.
  • Assist with assembling and preparing final record documents for the project at the conclusion of the job and store them in a secure location.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Maintain the highest possible professionalism at all times and promote good relations and communications on the project.
  • Recognize, report, and solve problems in a creative, positive, constructive way and make recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures, and policies.
