About The Position

Construction Interns will assist Project Managers and Project Superintendents in project planning, buyout, project management, and closeout. This role will involve assisting in obtaining, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and to the Landmark’s quality standards. The Summer Construction Internship program will run from June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026.

Requirements

  • Seeking a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science or Architecture preferred.
  • 1+ year of applicable coursework.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Critical thinker and self-starter capable of accomplishing a task with limited guidance and supervision.
  • Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in obtaining, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and to the Landmark’s quality standards.
  • Learning about Landmark processes and procedures as they relate to managing the project.
  • Learning about Landmark safety and quality management programs and ensuring contractor compliance.
  • Assisting in managing the project budget by controlling expenditures, coordinating billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractors.
  • Learning how to maintain RFI logs and change request logs.
  • Ensuring the overall success of costs and schedule.
  • Reviewing and processing submittal data and shop drawings.
  • Coordinating submittals, RFIs, deliveries and inspections, along with analyzing how they affect the project schedule.
  • Completing daily logs, status reports and weekly subcontractor meeting minutes.
  • Handling change requests and change proposals for price reviews.
  • Documenting and taking progress photos of job site.
  • Resolving punch-list issues prior to occupancy.
  • Obtaining occupancy of the project.
  • Maintaining closeout log and obtaining all closeout documents, warranties and log information.
  • Obtaining Certificate of Substantial Completion.
  • Assembling and preparing final record documents for the project at the conclusion of the job and storing them in a secure location.
  • Participating in team meetings.
  • Maintaining the highest possible professionalism at all times and promoting good relations and communications on the project.
  • Recognizing, reporting, and solving problems in a creative, positive, constructive way and making recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures, and policies.
