About The Position

Keville Enterprises, Inc. (Keville), an established Construction Management and Inspections firm in Boston, MA is seeking qualified construction inspectors to perform inspection services on public and private projects for airport, rail, highway, road, bridge, facilities, and water/wastewater projects. Requirements

Knowledge of construction means and methods, materials
Strong communication skills
Documentation control
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Ability to perform quantity takeoffs/calculations
Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must
Fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software
Effective written and oral communication skills
Eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player
A minimum of three years of experience in civil, highway, facility or a relevant engineering field is required
One year in a field inspection capacity
Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy
OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment
Background checks required
Pre-employment (post-offer)

Nice To Haves

Any of the following Professional certifications are strongly preferred: NICET; NETTCP; ACI; NACE; AWS/CWI; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; EIT; CCM; CMIT; CACM
Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) or Associates Degree in a relevant field is preferred

Responsibilities

Inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications
Contract administration
Reporting daily progress
Tracking and documenting quantities of work performed
Resolving construction problems and challenges in the field
Other oversight responsibilities as assigned
