About The Position

Parsons is seeking multiple talented Construction Inspectors to join their team, focusing on infrastructure improvement projects at the Austin Airport. The roles are critical for ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with contract documents and codes. Inspectors will be responsible for field verification, documentation, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders throughout the construction process. Specific disciplines include Electrical Inspector (Medium Voltage, Underground, Vertical Construction), Electrical Inspector (Low Voltage Building/Vertical Construction), Plumbing Inspector (Underground and Vertical Construction), and Mechanical Inspector (HVAC, Hydronic Piping, Building Automation Systems).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated aviation-related construction experience, including work on taxiways, runways, terminals, and underground utilities.
  • Ability to pass a TSA criminal history background check.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with discipline-specific codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IMC, IPC, SMACNA, IBC, IEEE).
  • Ability to interpret and coordinate with third-party inspection reports.
  • Strong understanding of contract documents, technical specifications, and design standards.
  • Technical proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, SharePoint, and Primavera P6.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections to verify conformance with approved contract documents and applicable codes.
  • Review contractor work for compliance with specifications, manufacturer instructions, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate daily activities with third-party inspectors and project stakeholders, including ABIA Operations, Environmental teams, City inspectors, and AUS personnel.
  • Document deficiencies and communicate findings to the Contractor and CDS inspectors in a timely manner.
  • Support Construction Managers in verifying installed quantities for Pay Applications.
  • Maintain accurate daily inspection reports detailing work reviewed and observations made.
  • Participate in change management processes and assist in schedule evaluations.
  • Navigate and utilize project documentation including design drawings, specifications, Design Standards Manual, and contract terms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other Inspectors.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Occasional night-time work may be required based on project demands.
