About The Position

Provide Inspector services for MDOT type Construction Inspection Projects. Conduct measurements and documentation of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents. Perform basic material testing activities and supplying results for internal and external purposes. Testing may include Hot Mix Asphalt, Portland Cement Concrete and soils/aggregates. Review Contract Documents. Coordinate with Clients and Contractors. Prepare records for oversight of construction Projects including daily inspection reports, testing protocols and the MDOT system for record keeping. Prepare for and assist in running meetings. Develop and maintain project records throughout construction. Prepare pay requisitions and change orders. Monitor, manage and execute necessary material testing. Prepare project correspondence. Coordinate with utility companies and various agencies of the industry as necessary. We’re Making Sustainability Happen. Requirements

  • MDOT type Construction Inspection Projects experience
  • Experience conducting measurements and documentation of construction activities
  • Experience performing basic material testing (Hot Mix Asphalt, Portland Cement Concrete, soils/aggregates)
  • Experience reviewing Contract Documents
  • Experience coordinating with Clients and Contractors
  • Experience preparing records for oversight of construction Projects (daily inspection reports, testing protocols, MDOT system)
  • Experience preparing for and assisting in running meetings
  • Experience developing and maintaining project records
  • Experience preparing pay requisitions and change orders
  • Experience monitoring, managing and executing material testing
  • Experience preparing project correspondence
  • Experience coordinating with utility companies and various agencies
