About The Position

TRC is hiring a Construction Inspector II for Long Island, NY. To meet growing project demands, TRC is currently seeking qualified Construction Inspectors (CIs) to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Practice in Aberdeen, NC, and at other project locations across NY. Requirements

  • 18 months or more of transportation construction inspection experience
  • Experience working on NCDOT highway or bridge projects preferred
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I
  • ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level I or NCDOT Aggregate Level I
  • Inspectors must be familiar with NCDOT Construction Manual, Standard Specifications, and testing procedures, and be able to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.

  • Willingness to obtain required certifications

Responsibilities

  • Must have bridge and highway construction experience, with NYSDOT.
  • NICET Level II or equivalent is required.
  • Familiarity with NYSDOT MURK Documentation and using Site Manager.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Night Shift, over-time and potential weekend work availability.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
