About The Position

All Things Metal Industries is hiring an entry-level General Laborer for its structural steel fabrication and erection team, ATM Steel. The role supports the fabrication shop and is suited to someone looking to build hands-on skills and pursue a long-term career path that may lead into fabrication, welding, or fieldwork. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch. Occasional Friday half days may occur depending on department needs. Compensation is $18 per hour. The job requires comfort working outdoors and in high temperatures, standing for long periods, and lifting over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prep, clean, and scrape metal for fabrication, welding, or shipping.
• Operate power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders.
• Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to 1/16 inch for cutting and drilling.
• Move materials by lifting, loading, stacking, and organizing steel and scrap.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and keep tools and equipment in proper condition.
• Support the fabrication team with shop duties as needed.
• Provide backup for painting and finishing work when required.
