About The Position
MUZA Sheet Metal is a Midwest leader in architectural metal systems, known for its family-oriented culture, energy, and customer-driven mindset. As they are growing rapidly, they are seeking driven individuals to join their expanding team. This role is for a Construction General Laborer / Pre-Apprentice (Shop). No prior experience is required, as training and tools will be provided. This position offers a pathway to transition into their long-standing and highly regarded Apprenticeship Program.
Requirements
- High School diploma or HSED (required for apprenticeship)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and attendance
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
Nice To Haves
- Sheet Metal experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting Sheet Metal Journeymen and Apprentices in daily job duties, both in shop and on jobsites.
- Assembling and fabricating flashing, panels, and ductwork.
- Cleaning and daily maintenance of shop and jobsite.
- Daily usage of power tools and hand tools.
- Installing exterior sheet metal on new construction builds.
- Assist with building maintenance.
- Cutting, measuring, bending, and assembling sheet metal.
- Assist in shop fabrication process and in the field installations at job sites.
