General Construction Laborer
About The Position
Charah Solutions is the leading provider of environmental services and byproduct sales to the power generation industry. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, we assist utilities and independent power producers in sustainably managing and recycling ash byproducts generated from the combustion of coal in the production of electricity. With over 30 years of experience, we also design and implement solutions for ash pond management and closure, landfill construction, fly ash sales, and structural fill projects. This position is responsible for performing various duties on a construction site as directed by site leadership.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one-year experience working in a construction or similar environment preferred
- General knowledge of construction and mechanical equipment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties such as spotting trucks, using hand tools (shovel, rake, post hole digger, etc.), installing silt fence and using small equipment
- Sweep and mop trailer floor, clean work area and wash trucks
- Flag vehicles in and out of the construction site
- Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
