About The Position

A Construction Foreman oversees construction activities related to equipment, infrastructure, and facilities built for oil and gas production on land-based sites. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards, while supervising crews and contractors and coordinating with other departments to keep construction aligned with ongoing operations.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of oil and gas facility construction, production operations, and infrastructure development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule and budget performance.
  • Proven experience reviewing field tickets, invoices, and contractor charges for accuracy and proper cost allocation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, contractor management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze project costs, identify variances, and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate construction activities associated with well pads, tank batteries, pipelines, SWDs, compressor stations, production facilities, and related infrastructure.
  • Provide direction, support, and oversight to Site Supervisor Consultants responsible for daily field supervision and construction monitoring. Ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved project scopes and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Land, Regulatory, Procurement, and Site Supervisor Consultants to develop construction schedules, execution plans, and project priorities.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements, company expectations, safety standards, and quality objectives.
  • Monitor project expenditures throughout the construction lifecycle. Review daily reports, contractor invoices, field tickets, and change orders to ensure costs are accurately captured, justified, and aligned with approved AFEs and budgets.
  • Review and verify field tickets, time sheets, material invoices, and contractor charges to ensure proper accounting coding, cost allocation, and documentation before approval and processing.
  • Maintain detailed project cost tracking and forecasting. Prepare regular updates on project progress, schedule status, budget performance, risks, and key milestones for management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct field reviews and audits to ensure construction activities meet engineering specifications, company standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture. Ensure construction activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain organized project files including daily reports, inspections, as-built documentation, contractor records, change orders, and project closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate procurement, delivery, and availability of construction materials and equipment to support efficient project execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to Site Supervisors, contractors, and field personnel regarding construction standards, processes, safety expectations, and operational requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between field personnel, consultants, contractors, engineering, operations, and management to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout project execution.
  • Respond to operational, construction, or safety incidents as necessary to mitigate risks to personnel and the environment, minimize downtime, and support safe project execution.
