About The Position
SERVPRO® of Adamstown Mohnton & Reading Township, York City is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their growing reconstruction division. This role is crucial for assisting homeowners and commercial clients in rebuilding after various types of property damage, including fire, water, storm, and mold losses. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating insurance restoration projects, negotiating with insurance carriers, and managing project budgets.
Requirements
- 3+ years of construction estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods
- Experience with Xactimate
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous insurance restoration experience
- Symbility estimating experience
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania residential building codes
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed residential and commercial reconstruction estimates using Xactimate
- Perform on-site inspections to document damage and develop repair scopes
- Negotiate estimates and supplements with insurance adjusters
- Develop budgets and monitor project profitability
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, mitigation teams, and office staff
- Ensure estimates comply with local building codes and insurance guidelines
- Review architectural drawings and specifications when applicable
- Assist with change orders and supplemental estimates throughout construction
- Maintain accurate job documentation and communication with customers
- Help transition projects from mitigation into reconstruction
