Construction Estimator - Guardrail & Roadway
About The Position
Provides guardrail quotes and estimates, including plan take-off for materials, quantities, and specifications, ordering materials. Visits customer sites as appropriate, gathers information for estimates, prepares estimates, proposals and obtains approval of plan. Reviews and negotiates contracts with customers, including obtaining the necessary insurance certificates, bid bonds, etc. Assists in building bid letting packets and quoting out contractors. Provides submittals & completes certification packets for individual projects won. Reviews external shop drawings if required by project. Follows up with phone calls to contractors to get bid results. Understands process and specifications for respected counties and or states quoting in. Assists Project Managers and customers with change orders to jobs in process. Plans for upcoming projects and supports revenue generation through customer outreach and sales across product lines during the non-construction season. Other tasks as assigned.

Nice To Haves
- BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited college is desired.
- Minimum two (2) years of directly related experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience with permanent signs is preferred.
