About The Position
Arcadis is seeking a Construction Engineering Intern to support infrastructure projects in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves assisting in the management of significant construction projects, including planning and field support. The intern will work independently, be comfortable in a construction environment, and willing to spend time in the field. This position is part of the Places Infrastructure group.
Requirements
- Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related science discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience with field engineering, construction management, and construction oversight.
Responsibilities
- Assist with managing day-to-day activities on large construction/remediation projects.
- Assist with project planning and costing.
- Professional interaction with clients.
- Prepare field reports.
- Communicate staffing needs.
- Manage and update construction schedules.
- Determine and communicate staffing needs.
- Track field costs and material volumes.
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, Monthly Field Reports.
- Work with and direct subcontractors and other contractors.
- Promote and track safety performance.
- Conduct tailgate safety meetings.
