About The Position

Environmental Design Group is seeking a certified Construction Engineer Level 2 to serve as the primary liaison between contractors and the engineer in observing and monitoring on-site work. This is a PRN/As-Needed position with a Remote/Hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineers (PE) License in Ohio
  • ODOT Construction Engineer 2 (CE2) credential
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Proficient in computer-aided design
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inspection of project work
  • Ensure work performed by contractors is in compliance with all state and federal specifications
  • Correlate and analyze field data, review plans and records, support and prepare change orders
  • Assist with dispute resolution, estimates, conduct progress meetings, prepare meeting minutes and other related duties
  • Finalize or assist with finalizing and closing out the project
  • Perform data entry into ODOT’s CMS/SITE MANAGER system or local documentation equivalent as directed by the project engineer or LPA person in responsible
