About The Position

Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside, California, is a private, 68-bed inpatient acute psychiatric facility with outpatient services. As part of Acadia Healthcare, it provides behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment. This is a PRN, as-needed position with no set schedule, paying $25–$27 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
Valid state driver’s license where required by the facility.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certifications required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Previous housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain the facility’s upkeep, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies using appropriate cleaning processes and germicides.
Perform other housekeeping duties, including moving and arranging furniture, turning mattresses, cleaning kitchens and utensils, and sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors as needed.
Launder soiled linens as directed.
Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department or unit use.
Clean and store equipment and supplies properly after each shift.
Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
Stock supplies as needed.
Follow all infection control measures.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
