Requirements

Must be a three-fourths student in good standing majoring in a discipline or field related to the work to be assigned.
Applicants must be at least a three fourths time student majoring in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
Must be able to work at least 12 hours a week when classes are in session.
Effective communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

A second semester sophomore majoring in horizontal or vertical design or construction experience.
Experience in the use of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
Experience with Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat.
Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).

Responsibilities

Track and review roadway, bridge and building plan corrections to verify that they reflect the requested changes.
Track the submittal and return of plan corrections to the project designer, which will include being in close contact with NDOT designers and consultants.
Prepare cost estimating related documentation for the Department.
Gain experience with the preparation letting packages, contract time allowance, project final review and other Construction Division responsibilities.
