OLH Inc. is seeking a Construction Discipline Engineer Pipe Mechanical for a role in Aiken, SC. This position involves planning and technical oversight of field construction activities related to procurement, fabrication, installation, modification, and maintenance of systems and components. The role requires coordination with design agencies, review of designs for constructability, resolution of design problems, and inspection of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and code requirements. The engineer will also participate in turnover activities, support start-up and functional checkout, and contribute to design output constructability reviews. Responsibilities include reviewing design output and vendor documents, performing field walk-downs with design engineers, verifying design constructability and field conditions, submitting and tracking constructability comments, and supporting project team design review meetings. Additionally, the role involves field material take-off and procurement support, developing installation sequences, generating work instructions and inspection records, coordinating layout and survey needs, generating hazards analysis, and supporting hazard analysis review meetings. The engineer will also develop, review, approve, and update work execution plans, including generating job-specific permits and coordinating approvals. Field coverage and support include leading pre-job briefings, performing task-ready walk-downs, verifying installed quantities, coordinating daily field support, expediting material, coordinating material testing, supporting shop fabrication, performing field inspections, and resolving field installation issues. Finally, the role involves work execution plan closure, generating design completion notices, ensuring accuracy of plan status, closing permits, and closing work execution plan documentation.
