About The Position

Summertown Metals of Hopkinsville is seeking a service-oriented individual to join their team as a Customer Service Coordinator. This is a full-time, in-office position at a rapidly growing, family-owned business that is a leading provider of pole barns, barndominiums, and houses. The company operates a full-service lumber yard and manufactures metal siding and trim. The Customer Service Coordinator will be responsible for direct communication with customers throughout their building project, performing various duties to facilitate customer needs during the building process.

Requirements

Minimum high school or equivalent required
Building materials or construction experience required
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive information, as well as customer issues.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment that can adapt to shift in priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in business or relative field preferred.
Two-years customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of Odoo V16, Click-Up, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer support while following the Build Coordination Office policies and structure.
Prepare contracts for signature at the point of sale with efficiency and attention to detail.
Assist customers through the various steps of the build process while documenting all activity and communication with customers or others into project management software.
Coordinate customer site preparation taking into consideration the type of structure being built such as pole barns, houses, garages, etc. to ensure site is ready before building crews arrive at the site.
Assist customers by following a communication schedule that will allow you to anticipate their needs, such as making sure appropriate permits or engineer drawings have been obtained in a timely manner.
Place customer projects on the delivery schedule, notify customers of their delivery date window and any remaining balance due.
