About The Position
The Construction Crew Supervisor oversees construction crews working on a fiber optic project in Central Florida, ensuring work meets client specifications, local and federal regulations, safety guidelines, and company standards. The role involves familiarity with aerial and underground construction equipment, CATV lines, and the employer-contractor relationship, and serves as a quality-control resource for construction work. The supervisor oversees 1099 contractor underground crews of 5–10 workers and aerial crews of 2–4 workers.
Requirements
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to travel 20%–30%.
- Experience with drills, excavators, locators, and trenchers.
- At least 3 years of experience managing small teams.
- Able to lift up to 90 pounds.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate crews on-site to complete client requests.
- Ensure crews stay on schedule to meet client needs.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed on the job site.
- Track completed footage and coordinate with office staff to keep accurate records of completed work.
- Serve as a liaison between upper management and construction crews.
- Serve as an on-site knowledge resource for construction crews.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Oversee 1099 contractor underground crews of 5–10 workers and aerial crews of 2–4 workers.
