About The Position
The Construction Crew Supervisor oversees construction crews working on a fiber optic project in Central Florida. The supervisor ensures work meets client specifications, local and federal regulations, safety guidelines, and company standards, and serves as a quality-control resource. The role involves familiarity with aerial and underground construction equipment, CATV lines, and the employer-contractor relationship. It oversees 1099 underground contractor crews of 5–10 workers and aerial contractor crews of 2–4 workers.
Requirements
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Must pass a drug/alcohol screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to travel 20%–30%.
- Experience with drills, excavators, locators, and trenchers.
- At least 3 years of experience managing small teams.
- Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 90 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate crews on-site to complete client requests.
- Keep crews on schedule to meet client needs.
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed at the job site.
- Track completed footage and coordinate with office staff to maintain accurate work records.
- Liaise between upper management and construction crews.
- Serve as an on-site knowledge resource for construction crews.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
