About The Position
The Construction Crew Supervisor oversees construction crews working on a fiber optic project in Central Florida. The role ensures work is completed to client specifications, applicable local and federal regulations, safety guidelines, and company standards. The supervisor serves as a quality-control resource and should be familiar with aerial and underground construction equipment, CATV lines, and the employer-contractor relationship. The position oversees 1099 underground contractor crews of 5–10 workers and aerial contractor crews of 2–4 workers.
Requirements
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to travel 20%–30%.
- Experience with drills, excavators, locators, and trenchers.
- At least 3 years of experience managing small teams.
- Able to stand, crouch, kneel, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 90 pounds.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate on-site crews to complete client requests.
- Ensure crews stay on schedule to meet client needs.
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed at the job site.
- Track completed footage and coordinate with office staff to maintain accurate records of completed work.
- Serve as a liaison between upper management and construction crews.
- Serve as an on-site knowledge resource for construction crews.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
