Requirements

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Can safely lift up to 75 pounds.
• Can work from ladders and scaffolding.
• Can perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Enjoys working alongside others and contributes to a positive, respectful job site.
• Construction or carpentry experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Previous construction or carpentry experience is preferred, but we're happy to train someone with the right attitude and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Build skills while performing hands-on carpentry work, including framing, roofing, siding, window installation, trim work, painting, and other phases of construction.
• Work alongside experienced craftsmen to complete projects with quality workmanship and attention to GHL Construction's standards.
• Assist the foreman with daily construction activities on residential new construction and remodeling projects.
• Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site by following established safety practices and identifying potential hazards.
• Travel to project sites throughout the Berks County area, starting and ending each workday at our Bernville shop.
• Learn new techniques and expand construction knowledge through on-the-job training and a variety of residential building projects.
