Hatch is seeking a Construction Coordinator Technologist Co-op for a co-op term starting in Fall 2026. Reporting to the Lead Construction Services, Water Business Unit, you will support projects working from the Mississauga office. Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Engineering Technology program in Construction Management or Civil, Electrical, I&C, or Mechanical Engineering program, from an accredited College
  • Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community
  • Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects
  • Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges
  • Adapts and embraces change

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site technical issues
  • Manage construction documentation between the Constructor and the Engineer, such as submittals, shop drawings, and Requests for Information
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure quality, project schedule adherence and compliance with drawings, and specifications and codes, through regular inspections
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with the preparation of field material requisitions
  • Prepare punch lists
  • Maintain the highest level of safety awareness and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest safety standards
