Construction Coordinator III

Danos•Midland, TX

About The Position

The Construction Coordinator III provides technical and field-based construction support and serves as a key liaison among the site construction team, Project Engineer, Construction Manager, contractors, and office-based engineering personnel. The role functions similarly to a Construction or Field Engineer, with an emphasis on identifying field issues, developing RFIs, interpreting technical information, and helping obtain timely engineering resolutions. The position primarily supports mechanical construction activities, with electrical scope exposure as required. It also supports Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), construction planning and execution, progress tracking, and coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction information to help ensure field work is not constrained. The project will transition to Midland, Texas; local Midland candidates are preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Approximately 7 or more years of relevant construction, field engineering, project engineering, or construction coordination experience is preferred; candidates with significantly more experience may be considered.
  • Strong experience developing and managing RFIs and coordinating technical issue resolution.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction specifications, work packages, and other technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate between field and office-based teams.
  • Experience working with Project Engineers, Construction Managers, contractors, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders.
  • Must meet all job requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • An engineering degree is preferred; Mechanical Engineering is particularly relevant, though other engineering disciplines may be considered based on experience.
  • Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) experience, training, or project exposure is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting mechanical construction is strongly preferred; electrical construction exposure is beneficial.
  • Oil and gas experience is preferred; relevant industrial or manufacturing construction experience may also be considered.
  • Local Midland, Texas candidates are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical interface between field construction personnel, the Project Engineer, Construction Manager, contractors, and office-based engineering teams.
  • Identify construction and field issues and generate RFIs with clearly defined problems and potential solutions.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, construction documents, and technical information.
  • Support primarily mechanical construction activities, with exposure to electrical scope as required.
  • Assist with coordination and resolution of technical construction issues to minimize field delays.
  • Support the planning, development, interpretation, and tracking of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) activities.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction information to help ensure field work is not constrained.
  • Communicate field conditions, project needs, technical concerns, and proposed solutions clearly to engineering and project leadership.
  • Support construction planning, execution, progress tracking, and coordination across project stakeholders.
  • Support the project's transition to Midland, Texas.
