About The Position

The Construction Administrator will be responsible for administering the construction process, which includes reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFIs, preparing drawing revisions, and coordinating with Engineering Consultants. This role involves reviewing construction documents, project construction budgets, and evaluating construction progress. The administrator will also process applications for payment, observe construction work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and contract documents, and create field reports. Additionally, they will conduct QC reviews with coordinated sets of working drawings, analyze shop drawings of varying complexity, and report any problems or deviations from plans and specifications to the project design team. The position requires maintaining Submittal and RFI Logs, taking a team-oriented approach, and mentoring younger staff, including leading group site visits.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in CA role for Architectural firm
  • Experience in all project phases
  • Experience in multifamily, mixed-use or student housing construction strongly preferred
  • Have a positive attitude with a sense of humor
  • Excellent time management, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Responsive: Excellent organizational skills and follow-through ability
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and currently reside in the U.S.
