About The Position

Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the W.C. Bradley Co. Farm in Stewart County, Georgia. The role includes guest care, farm support and maintenance, and upkeep of the boathouse and boats.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Two to three years of experience working in forest, farm, recreational operations, and multi-natural-resource work required.
Ability to operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment.
Availability to work an average of 60 hours per week during summer and early fall in preparation for upcoming seasons.
Must be legally able to possess and safely use a firearm, hunting rifle, and knife.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Customer-service ability and desire to serve recreational users by creating high-quality experiences and encouraging repeat and increased visitor use.

Nice To Haves

Two years of technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide check-in and check-out assistance to Lodge and Farm guests.
Provide transportation as needed between the Lodge and other locations, including the airport, Columbus, and recreational and shopping locations.
Assist hunting guides as required.
Assist the Lodge Keeper as required.
Clean game harvested by guests.
Drive and maintain tractors.
Maintain landscaping, including mowing lawns, raking leaves, picking up limbs, and trimming hedges.
Cut and stack firewood.
Cut and bale hay.
Wash down kennels, trucks, hunting buggies, and similar equipment.
Work with bird dogs as required.
Work with horses as required.
Make repairs to buildings and facilities, including painting.
Keep the boathouse clean, safe, and organized.
Perform basic boathouse maintenance.
Perform basic boat maintenance, including checking and maintaining oil and lubricant levels, keeping boats fueled, and cleaning boats after use.
Perform other duties as assigned.
