About The Position

Reporting to the Director, the Operational Transformation Advisor acts as a strategic partner to industrial clients. Drawing on strong expertise in manufacturing and continuous improvement, you support organizations in optimizing the performance, resilience, and competitiveness of their production operations. In this role, you conduct operational diagnostics, design and deploy high‑impact transformation initiatives, and support shop‑floor teams throughout the change journey. You work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure buy‑in, sustainability of solutions, and the creation of lasting value. Your mission consists of: Performance & Operational Diagnostics Conduct operational diagnostics across the entire value chain of a production site (engineering, methods, quality, warehousing, manufacturing, assembly, distribution). Analyze engineering, production, material, information, and data flows, as well as planning signals. Analyze productivity, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), capacity, process stability, quality performance, and supply chain integration. Identify performance gaps, bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities across the value chain. Transformation Design and Implementation Design transformation roadmaps aligned with business objectives (cost, productivity, quality, service, sustainability). Design plant layouts, production cells, and workstations. Facilitate workshops with operations, supply chain, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to co‑develop solutions. Deploy Lean / continuous improvement initiatives (5S, VSM, SMED, standard work, problem solving, visual management). Support the deployment of advanced methodologies (TPM, Six Sigma, digital tools, Industry 4.0 levers, Agile methods). Project Management Manage multiple projects simultaneously in on‑site client environments. Track performance improvements (KPIs, savings, benefits realization). Prepare deliverables, reports, and presentations for senior management.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in operational excellence, industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, or consulting in the industrial sector.
  • Hands‑on experience in a production environment (shop floor, operational teams, process improvement projects).
  • Proven track record in implementing performance improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact from the shop floor to the executive level.
  • Solid understanding of operational performance indicators and financial impact modeling.
  • Ability to thrive in fast‑paced and ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation and facilitation skills.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and a strong collaborative mindset.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, in French and English, to communicate with clients located across North America.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA, M.Eng.)
  • Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • PMP or project management certification.
  • Industrial drafting skills (AutoCAD or equivalent).
  • Simulation skills.
  • Certifications related to Industry 4.0, TPM, or supply chain management.
