About The Position

Copper Mountain Resort is hiring a seasonal Conoco Clerk to cashier in a fast-paced convenience store. The role includes stocking products and supplies, maintaining the store’s appearance, handling and reporting funds accurately, and learning basic skills to assist in other departments within the building. The clerk should know Copper Mountain Resort and the surrounding area and provide guests with friendly, courteous service and information.

Shifts vary, with availability ranging from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours may fluctuate with business volume, and the employee must be able to work any shift and any day of the week. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, removing snow and ice, climbing, stooping, bending, and standing for several hours. Employees must own non-slip shoes and be at least 21 years old.

The proposed hiring rate is $17.50 to $19.20 or more, adjusted based on experience. Seasonal benefits include an employee/dependent season pass, privileges at several other resorts, and discounts on food and beverage, retail and rental, tickets, and other offerings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform snow and ice removal as required.
• Ability to climb, stoop, and bend to stock shelves.
• Ability to stand for several hours as needed.
• Must own non-slip shoes.
• Must be able to work any shift and any day of the week.
• Retail experience, cash handling, computer, and people skills are required.
• Must maintain exceptional grooming standards and a professional appearance.
• Positive attitude and teamwork attitude required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail sales, fast food, or convenience store experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous customer service.
• Accurately and quickly handle all funds tendered.
• Assist the foreman with completing the Daily Report submitted to Accounting.
• Assist the foreman with completing daily SOP duties.
• Maintain a clean and healthy store environment for guests.
• Keep store products neat and orderly.
• Assist the foreman with ordering store products and supplies.
• Maintain inventory by entering product information into the point-of-sale system.
• Assist the foreman with entering product information into the point-of-sale system.
• Price store products as needed.
• Stock products and rotate perishables as needed.
• Remove snow from fuel islands and walkways.
• Share knowledge of Copper Mountain Resort and surrounding areas with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Dip and record fuel tank information as needed.
• Remove snow, ice, and water from fuel tank filling areas.
• Assist with restroom cleanliness and duties when needed.
• Model and share Copper Mountain’s culture with guests and employees, uphold a professional image, and strive to exceed guest expectations.
