About The Position

The City of Chandler Cultural Development Department is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Connection & Impact Manager. This position is responsible for building bridges across the community by fostering belonging, understanding, and collaboration among Chandler's diverse residents and organizations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public service, a deep commitment to fostering belonging and connection within diverse communities, and experience as a collaborative leader who can build strong relationships, guide meaningful programs and initiatives, and develop strategies that strengthen connection and impact across the organization and community. The role requires a thoughtful problem-solver and effective communicator who can navigate complex and sensitive issues while bringing people together around shared goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, Sociology or a related field.
6 years of progressively responsible public sector experience working in human relations or diversity.
Experience in program planning, facilitation and mediation.
Experience working with community leaders and local government.
2 years of recent lead or supervisory experience.
A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
Fingerprinting with successful results.
Adherence to the City of Chandler’s policies concerning the use of drugs and alcohol, including the prohibition of recreational marijuana use.
