About The Position

The City of Chandler Cultural Development Department is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Connection & Impact Manager. This position is responsible for building bridges across the community by fostering belonging, understanding, and collaboration among Chandler's diverse residents and organizations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public service, a deep commitment to fostering belonging and connection within diverse communities, and experience as a collaborative leader who can build strong relationships, guide meaningful programs and initiatives, and develop strategies that strengthen connection and impact across the organization and community. The role requires a thoughtful problem-solver and effective communicator who can navigate complex and sensitive issues while bringing people together around shared goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, Sociology or a related field.
  • 6 years of progressively responsible public sector experience working in human relations or diversity.
  • Experience in program planning, facilitation and mediation.
  • Experience working with community leaders and local government.
  • 2 years of recent lead or supervisory experience.
  • A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
  • Fingerprinting with successful results.
  • Adherence to the City of Chandler’s policies concerning the use of drugs and alcohol, including the prohibition of recreational marijuana use.
