About The Position

Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Connected Products Engineer. This is an on-site position located at our Beaver, PA facility. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering and/or quality
  • PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, Minitab, Access, and AS400.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis, problem solving methods, ISO/TS criteria
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical process control, including gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
  • Understanding of assembly processes and the flow of material through a plant
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T)
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution

  • ISO Auditor

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective execution of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Accountable for quality performance by monitoring key metrics, leading quality assessments, and driving continuous improvement across processes, operations, and supplier quality.
  • Act as primary liaison between customers, TRC (Technical Resource Center), Engineering, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer quality concerns.
  • Prepare customer-facing quality reports and evaluations.
  • Ensure products and processes meet all documented requirements.
  • Monitor quality escapes and maintain critical documentation (PFMEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, etc.).
  • Analyze production quality trends and update quality documentation per EQMS requirements.
  • Ensure suppliers meet Eaton engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Lead supplier RCA and CAPA activities for quality escapes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage non-conformances through closure.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics including Warranty, Scrap, Quality PPM, RMAs, and major detractors.
  • Propose and implement process improvements aligned with EQMS policies (PPAP/FAI, PFMEAs, Work Packages, etc.).
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain historical quality data from suppliers, production, and TRC feedback.
  • Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective action planning in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Manage customer and supplier communication related to quality issues.
  • Process and resolve returned product quality issues using Vista/SAP and EWCS (Electronic Warranty & Claims System).
  • Support field activities and quality initiatives related to field campaigns.
  • Lead quality activities for New Product Introductions (NPI) and product transfers per PROLaunch guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement and defect prevention initiatives to improve overall quality performance.
