About The Position

EDAG Engineering Limited, a part of the largest independent German consultancy in the UK with 20 team members, is seeking a Connected Services Test Engineer (Connected Car). This role offers a familiar atmosphere with the potential of a global world-class development company, providing opportunities for career advancement nationally and internationally. The position is a 12-month FTE Contract with a possible extension, located at a customer site in the North West, requiring a hybrid work model with a minimum of 4 days per week onsite. The area of focus is Electrical Engineering.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive connected services or infotainment testing.
• Solid understanding of test execution and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience working with real vehicles and test benches.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in structured testing environments.
• Structured and reliable working style with good documentation skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Prior onsite delivery experience within OEM test organisations.
• MS-Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel to customer location as required, local and global.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases for Connected Car services.
• Perform regression testing related to Group backend deployments.
• Document test execution and manage results in test management tools.
• Capture logs, screenshots, and video evidence.
• Raise, track, and manage defects within defined SLAs.
• Support retesting of resolved incidents and field issues.
• Collaborate closely with onsite equipment support and engineering teams.
• Other tasks as assigned by your manager.
