About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Configuration Manager to join its team onsite in Chesapeake, Virginia. The position supports MANTECH’s defense technology work and requires an active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship. The Configuration Manager defines and maintains configuration baselines, reviews and approves configuration changes, audits configuration items for accuracy and compliance, and maintains configuration management plans and procedures. The role also coordinates with IT, operations, and development teams to address configuration issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in configuration management.
Proficiency with configuration management and tracking tools.
Experience in Systems Engineering.
U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of ITIL frameworks or formal change control board procedures.
Prior service in this role for the Department of Defense.
Navy background.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain configuration baselines for future development, testing, and deployment.
Review, track, and approve changes to system configurations, hardware, or software components.
Conduct regular audits of configuration items to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Create and update configuration management plans, policies, and procedural documentation.
Liaise with IT, operations, and development teams to resolve configuration issues.
