Koniag Government Services, LLC•Washington, DC
•$133,000 - $156,000

About The Position

Tuknik Government Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Configuration Manager to support a U.S. Army customer on a large-scale contracting systems modernization and automation program. The role controls application, documentation, data-schema, interface, software, and release baselines, ensuring approved changes are identifiable, reproducible, traceable, transferable, and recoverable across separate IL-5 and IL-6 environments. This is a contingent recruiting profile for a future new business opportunity; the opening, employing subsidiary, compensation, work location, and staffing depend on final contract authorization. Work may be performed remotely when authorized, at Government facilities, or in controlled office and data-center environments. Work involving classified information or SIPRNet must take place at a Government-approved secure location using authorized systems. The role generally supports Government business hours, with occasional release, incident-response, maintenance-window, or approved travel requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, management, or a related field; additional relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Five or more years of software configuration, release, change, or technical data management experience.
  • Experience controlling application code and packages, databases, interfaces, documentation, dependencies, and deployment evidence.
  • Working knowledge of Git-based version control, artifact repositories, Jira/Confluence, SBOMs, and controlled release processes.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance or eligibility required for assigned work by the start of performance, with ongoing eligibility thereafter.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Government, technical, and business stakeholders and maintain accurate work records in approved systems.
  • Ability to protect Controlled Unclassified Information and classified information, when assigned, and comply with required access, training, and handling procedures.
  • Software configuration and release management skills.
  • Baseline control and status accounting skills.
  • Experience with change boards and audit-ready evidence.
  • Ability to coordinate GitLab, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, and SBOMs.
  • Experience with cross-boundary package and manifest control.

Nice To Haves

  • Configuration Management II, ITIL, SAFe, DevSecOps, or comparable certification.
  • Experience with Appian package management and separate classified/unclassified release tracks.
  • Experience supporting CCBs and RMF/ATO evidence for DoD business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the configuration-management plan, item register, naming standards, baselines, status accounting, and audit procedures.
  • Control Appian packages, conventional code, plug-ins, database scripts, interface definitions, environment configuration, test assets, documentation, and SBOM records.
  • Maintain release manifests identifying versions, dependencies, approvals, vulnerabilities, test results, deployment instructions, and rollback packages.
  • Administer change-control workflows and prepare packages for Configuration Control Board and Government approval.
  • Coordinate GitLab, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, Appian deployment records, and Government repositories as authoritative evidence sources.
  • Maintain separate IL-5 and IL-6 baselines and classify changes as common, IL-5-specific, or IL-6-specific.
  • Verify transferred IL-6 artifacts complete approved inspection, malware scanning, chain-of-custody, and boundary-entry procedures.
  • Conduct configuration audits and reconcile deployed versions, documentation, inventories, and authorization records.
  • Support emergency-change procedures followed by retrospective review, evidence completion, and baseline update.
  • Report configuration status, unauthorized variance, release readiness, and corrective actions to program leadership and the Government.
