Configuration Manager

Booz Allen Hamilton•Fort Bragg, NC

About The Position

The Configuration Manager leads and improves configuration management across an integrated set of simulation hardware, modeling components, and networked training systems that support military rehearsals and large-scale exercises. The role maintains configuration integrity and controlled baselines, and ensures disciplined change management across local and geographically dispersed systems throughout the product lifecycle. The manager owns the configuration management plan, manages hardware and system baselines, leads the configuration management board, maintains configuration status accounting, and conducts configuration audits. The role develops and enforces CM processes, identifies deficiencies, implements corrective actions, and tracks software licensing, entitlements, and versions across the simulation enterprise. Working with multidisciplinary engineers and program leadership, the manager incorporates configuration discipline into sustainment and upgrades. The role also represents configuration changes to the broader requirements review board, presents proposed changes and their cost, schedule, and capability impacts, and ensures approved requirements remain tied to controlled baselines.
