About The Position

The Boeing Company, specifically the Product Lifecycle Management team within BDS Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Configuration Management & Integration Engineer. This role is responsible for ensuring the consistency, stability, and traceability of hardware and complex systems throughout their lifecycle. The engineer will manage changes and change boards against configuration, ensure configuration identification for traceability, and utilize communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams, management, and customers to resolve technical issues and support organizational objectives. This position is 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years’ experience documenting and implementing plans and processes to ensure products meet technical requirements and maintain configuration control
  • 2+ years’ experience with reporting and metrics to enable key business decisions and process improvement
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data to support data analysis.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain baselines, version histories, and "as-built" documentation for hardware and software.
  • Manage and control system elements and configurations over the program life cycle ensuring the overall coherence of the evolving design of a system is maintained in a verifiable manner through status accounting / reporting and reconciliation of the As-Designed against the As-Built records.
  • Integrate with various engineering functions and Product Teams that support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) by addressing changes to plans, processes and tools.
  • Monitor and track design integrity during the life cycle against those plans, processes and tools and ensuring updates as necessary.
  • Manage Change Control Boards (CCB), and track configuration changes.
  • Follow a governing configuration and change management process and appropriate tools to plan and control activities relating to maintaining design integrity.
  • Knowledge/awareness of functional/physical configuration audits (PCA/FCA).
  • Prepare information in support of configuration change control activities and work to a process for changing baselined data and product structures.
  • Utilize tools like CMPro and 3DX - or other tools that enable configuration control over engineering products.
