The Configuration Management Analyst provides Configuration Management (CM) support for customer software baseline control efforts. The role maintains baselines using automated CM tools, maintains project software and documentation inventories and configuration baselines, and establishes and maintains CM processes and procedures. It defines and implements procedures for releasing products throughout the product life cycle and serves on the Configuration Control Board (CCB). The analyst produces product builds for testing and production, strengthens and streamlines build processes, supports build automation tools and source code change control, and performs distribution partner and corporate client set-ups. The role also updates and reports on software deficiencies and change requests; maintains project notebooks and software development folders; continuously tracks change requests, impact assessments, incident reports, and software change notices; measures and reports success metrics against world-class benchmarks; and provides management with technical performance data from the CM process. The posting also describes a separate Release/Build Engineer opportunity (Job #8010). That role develops and maintains build environments, source code control and issue tracking systems; creates and tests builds; resolves issues, labels files, communicates build status, and develops build scripts and installation procedures. It identifies ways to streamline build processes, may develop automated builds with notifications of build and unit-test failures, and may assist engineering management with tool selection.
