About The Position

DDC-ITS is seeking individuals to fill a remote role of Configuration/Change Management Support. This role requires an Active Top Secret Clearance. The position involves creating, updating, and maintaining CMDB records in accordance with DCSA Configuration Management policies for all designated Configuration Items (CIs), including hardware, software, and logical relationships. Responsibilities also include conducting annual audits, performing requirement gathering and analysis, supporting data reporting and KPI metrics, documenting maintenance processes, interacting with various teams to resolve discrepancies, developing after-action reports, and assessing/refining organizational processes and procedures. The role requires developing and maintaining BIES PMO processes, procedures, presentations, and templates, as well as creating presentation materials for senior leadership briefings. Additionally, the position involves defining and documenting implementation approaches, identifying and tracking risks, and modifying Configuration Change Management and Requirements Management documents. The role also includes defining, monitoring, and capturing organizational and technical metrics, documenting change requests, maintaining a Knowledge Management (KM) Database in an ITIL environment, and assisting process owners with data review and trending.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant Configuration/Change Management experience
  • ITIL Foundations + Service Transition ITIL certification preferred
  • ITIL and ST certifications will be required within 1 year of employment

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain CMDB records IAW DCSA Configuration Management policies for all designated Configuration Items (CIs).
  • Conduct annual audits/inventories and reconcile with CM CI records.
  • Perform requirement gathering and analysis in support of DCSA written or developed Configuration Policies and Plans.
  • Support the BIES PMO in the generation of data reports and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
  • Maintain and build spreadsheets for accounting and inventory purposes.
  • Generate any estimated travel requested and associated costs.
  • Document CMDB records maintenance processes, procedures, and activities.
  • Interact with service desks, technical staff, and PMO staff to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Develop after-action reports.
  • Conduct an organizational and process assessment, perform process and procedure review, and develop and refine processes and procedures as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain BIES PMO processes and procedures and associated presentations, documents, and templates.
  • Develop presentations for BIES PMO status of activities, including system sunset plans and status of PMO activities.
  • Define and document an incremental or phased approach to implementing best practices.
  • Identify, document, and track risks, issues, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and/or modify Configuration Change Management processes, documents, and templates.
  • Participate in Configuration Change Management meetings and capture detailed notes.
  • Develop and/or modify Requirements Management documents and templates.
  • Participate in Requirements Management meetings and capture detailed notes.
  • Define, monitor, and capture organizational and technical metrics for reporting.
  • Create presentation and graphic materials to support BIES PMO briefings to Senior Leadership.
  • Document, move, and update approved and closed change requests, tasks, work orders, or incident tickets IAW DCSA processes.
  • Maintain a Knowledge Management (KM) Database in an ITIL environment.
  • Perform requirement gathering and analysis in support of BIES written or developed Change and Configuration policies and plans.
  • Assist process owners/managers, configuration and/or problem Managers, or their designees in reviewing, recording, and trending data for these processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
