About The Position

AV delivers mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, product-focused environment. The Configuration Management Analyst supports engineering and program teams by ensuring configuration management processes are consistently applied across development and production activities. This role works directly with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to maintain accurate product definitions, control changes, and ensure configuration data is complete, traceable, and usable throughout the product lifecycle. The position is embedded within a business unit and supports multiple programs, helping ensure configuration management is applied in a way that enables execution, not delays it. Role Overview The Configuration Management Analyst supports day-to-day configuration management activities across engineering and production environments. This includes working within PLM systems to manage items, documentation, and engineering changes, while ensuring standard CM principles—configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audit—are consistently applied. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure changes are accurate, timely, and aligned with program needs, while maintaining compliance with internal processes and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Must possess one of the following: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience Associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience High School Diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following: Configuration Management Engineering change control Document control or PLM administration Product lifecycle support in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical or production environment
  • ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting CM activities in aerospace, defense, or other regulated/high-reliability industries
  • Experience supporting audits and producing configuration management evidence
  • Familiarity with Arena PTC, Oracle Fusion PLM, or similar enterprise PLM tools

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and execution of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes using systems such as Arena PTC and/or Oracle Fusion PLM as the system of record.
  • Prepare documentation for and participate in Change Control Board (CCB) activities, including managing electronic workflows, approvals, and change tracking.
  • Review and process engineering change data (ECOs, revisions, updates), coordinating across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
  • Work with engineering teams to create, review, and release items, documentation, and ECOs, ensuring required data, metadata, and relationships are complete and accurate within the PLM system.
  • Ensure consistent application of core configuration management principles: Configuration identification Configuration control Configuration status accounting Configuration audits
  • Provide guidance and support to engineering and program teams on CM tools, workflows, and processes, helping ensure effective and consistent use.
  • Support inter-program screening, reporting, and status activities, providing accurate and timely configuration data to support production, delivery, and program decision-making.
  • Participate in production and program meetings to support planning and execution of configuration-related activities.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with configuration management requirements for development and production hardware, software, and documentation.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure configuration requirements are understood and met through regular interaction, coordination, and follow-up.
