This is a contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves establishing and maintaining the configuration baseline for products, systems, or projects, ensuring all components and documents are clearly identified and controlled. The Configuration Analyst will manage changes through a formal change control process, coordinate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, and maintain accurate records of configuration item status. Responsibilities include conducting configuration audits, tracking and reporting on approved changes, and reviewing engineering documentation to ensure compliance and identify material requirements. The role also involves serving as an advocate for the program, coordinating and delivering Contract / Supplier Delivery Requirements Lists (CDRLs/SDRLs), and analyzing proposed changes to product design for their impact on various documents. The analyst will conduct document peer reviews, develop solutions for complex issues, and assist in implementing innovative concepts to improve processes and efficiency. Additionally, the role includes preparing documentation for archive, notifying departments of data updates, ensuring proper handling and protection of technical data, and continuously evaluating and improving configuration and data management processes and tools. Collaboration with engineering, quality, and project management teams is essential, as is providing timely configuration and data management support throughout the project lifecycle.
