About The Position

This position is responsible for working with the IT development and production support teams to maintain and enhance Goodville’s SaaS platform for policy, billing and claims administration. This position is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining software components and user interfaces, as well as using services and data to communicate with other platforms. This position will participate in agile teams to deliver consistent work and learn from other team members through pairing and coaching.

Requirements

College degree or comparable experience in web development languages, computer science, computer technology, or other internet-related computer technology
Effective interpersonal and user/peer team relationship and communication skills
Trained (schooling or equivalent) in SQL, XML, and JavaScript
Eager and willing to learn technologies, standards, and best practices
Experience in or ability to learn Property and Casualty insurance principles, agency-company interface, and insurance web site development
Ability to work independently on simple tasks
Ability to work flexible hours, travel to all organization offices (including in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota) and travel to vendor work sites
Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise level, remain in a stationary position and operate a computer a majority of the time
Ability to move throughout the office to access work materials and to move work materials weighing up to ten pounds daily
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

Experience working with P&C SaaS platforms (such as Origami Risk, Duck Creek, Guidewire etc)
Actively learning mainstream technologies (UI, Database, Logic)

Responsibilities

Develop, test, install, and maintain insurance systems
Become a technical expert in using, understanding, troubleshooting, and configuring a low-code policy and billing administration platform
Digital enablement of existing systems
Web services – internal and external
Data mapping and transformation between different systems
Expert systems and business rules
Receive mentorship by a Senior level person
Perform assigned responsibilities in the maintenance, security, and support of IT projects
Develop knowledge of industry and technology practices and developments through education and mentoring
Support the IT team with other duties as assigned
