About The Position

SCCI is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst I to join their team in support of a Rapid Acquisition Weapon System Program. This role involves interfacing with various engineering functional areas such as Software Developers, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Test, and Safety, to provide configuration management support across multiple projects. The position is full-time and will be located in Dahlgren, VA.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline or direct hands-on configuration management experience
  • Four (4) years of full-time professional experience working in Configuration Management (CM) including experience in Configuration Management of modern DoD systems
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management support
  • One (1) year of demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with software development requirements and practices
  • Demonstrated experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CM Industry Standards and Military Standards
  • One (1) year of demonstrable experience with systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Atlassian Jira, and/or SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM)
  • Self-starter with the Ability to work independently and with others to meet established goals and program schedules
  • Ability to write clear, logically sequenced and grammatically correct documents

  • Experience in compiling software builds

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with BMS Software CM Lead to ensure rigorous tracking of software versioning
  • Scheduling, facilitating, and documenting Control Board meetings and ticket adjudications
  • Processing data deliveries and distributing them to stakeholders
  • Applying knowledge of CM best practices to ensure all BMS software builds are conducted in accordance with documented procedures
  • Preparing, posting, and tracking software file deliveries and associated documentation via various delivery methods
  • Participating in continued BMS process improvement meetings including not limited to software development, CM, and BMS Configuration Control Boards
  • Participating in CM review and quality control of BMS documentation
  • Adapting to changing technologies, processes, and organization requirements
