Conference Services Attendant (On Call)
About The Position
The Conference Services Attendant ensures meeting rooms and public areas are maintained to a professional standard and that meeting requirements are ready before each event begins. This is an on-call position at Coca-Cola in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Monday-through-Saturday schedule and varying hours. The fixed pay rate is $25.00 per hour. The attendant prepares and refreshes conference rooms, supports clients and visitors, communicates with clients and colleagues, and helps maintain event supplies. The role may also involve assisting with basic audiovisual equipment and identifying solutions for unusual room setup needs.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospitality experience preferred.
- Previous customer service or houseman/porter experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Move and place tables, chairs, and supply linens for events in the conference center.
- Supply and set up items not included in the room, such as flipcharts, whiteboards, and screens.
- Check room readiness and ensure rooms have appropriate materials, including pens, pads, handouts, and event packages.
- Refresh rooms between meetings.
- Provide prompt, detailed service as scheduled by management or requested.
- Maintain phone and email communication with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
- Assist clients and visitors throughout the building by providing directions and escorting them to conference rooms.
- Share updated information with coworkers and service partners.
- Recommend appropriate room setups to planning managers and collaborate on solutions for unique setup challenges.
- Conduct weekly inspections of meeting rooms and contact the necessary department when items require service.
- Assist with basic audiovisual equipment as needed.
- Maintain supply inventory and notify supervisors when additional supplies are needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
