About The Position

The purpose of this role is to accurately set up meeting rooms to support all Food and Beverage events associated with our conference business as well as other outlets. This role involves setting up and tearing down meeting rooms and special events, stocking meeting room materials, and maintaining linen areas. The Conference Porter will also refresh, reset, and maintain meeting room appearance during events, set up banquet bar service, and manage beverage inventory.

Requirements

• Smart Serve certification
• Reliable transportation
• Team Player
• Able to do heavy lifting to 50lbs
• Working on feet for an 8 to 12 hours shift
• Able to work long hours (Sometimes till 3:00AM)

Responsibilities

• Sets up and tears down of meeting rooms and special events, including stocking of meeting room materials.
• Maintains and stocks linen areas: Reports inventory requirements to leaders, ensuring store areas are clean, organized and stocked.
• Refresh, reset and maintain meeting room appearance during events
• Set up banquet bar service: set up tables, mobile bars, pick up and delivery of bar product.
• During bar service: maintain communication with Bartender, restock bar inventory, restock ice, glassware.
• Responsible Beverage Inventory management; cleaning and maintaining store rooms. Use FIFO method of stocking and using product.
