About The Position

The Conference Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of continuing education programs and activities for the Adams School of Dentistry Office of Continuing Dental Education and AHEC. This position serves as a key liaison between faculty, regional partners, vendors, and participants to ensure educational programs are delivered successfully and in compliance with University, State, and American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) guidelines. Responsibilities include coordinating educational events from planning through completion; assisting with program logistics, scheduling, registration, and communications; supporting the development of promotional materials and budgets; coordinating meeting spaces, vendors, and food and beverage arrangements; and maintaining compliance with applicable continuing education requirements. This position also collaborates with the nine regional AHEC offices to coordinate continuing education offerings and assist with securing faculty presenters for in-person and virtual programs throughout North Carolina.

Requirements

  • Experience in planning, coordination, and execution of continuing education programs.
  • Ability to serve as a key liaison between faculty, regional partners, vendors, and participants.
  • Knowledge of University, State, and ADA CERP guidelines.
  • Skills in coordinating educational events from planning through completion.
  • Proficiency in assisting with program logistics, scheduling, registration, and communications.
