About The Position

American Management Association (AMA) is looking for a Conference Center Coordinator to coordinate facilities operational services which include guest services, technical services, technical support services, food & beverage service, freight / mail services, cleaning and maintenance services to provide a professional learning atmosphere for all guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Proficient in multitasking
  • Portray a polished, professional image according to AMA’s dress code standards

Nice To Haves

  • additional education preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Experience in supporting AV and IT equipment and computer software systems preferred
  • Apple iWorks suite preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support front-desk team coverage at the conference center
  • Welcome guests (seminar participants, instructors, event hosts and guests, etc.) in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Responsible for seminar attendance administration and stocking of meeting materials
  • Set up and break down conference/training rooms, and refresh rooms as needed, which may require moving furniture (tables, chairs, etc.), equipment and supplies
  • Support Center team with distribution and collection of supplies and meeting/training materials (flipcharts, markers, paper and pens, etc.)
  • Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance with technology and AV support needs
  • Maintain clean, organized and well-stocked inventory for client beverage stations
  • Set up, replenish, maintain, and breakdown catering buffets
  • Other related tasks
