About The Position

Verdantas is seeking a Seasonal Concrete Testing Technician in Plymouth, Michigan, to support field inspections, quality control testing, and environmental sampling for construction projects. The role supports sustainable infrastructure and environmental stewardship across Michigan. The technician performs construction-material quality control tests at active construction sites, including concrete testing and soil and asphalt density testing. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, with safety and accuracy expected throughout field activities. The technician is also responsible for maintaining current technical knowledge and professional certifications needed to meet industry and regulatory standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
Proficiency with standard computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
ACI/MCA Concrete Field Testing Technician and Nuclear Safety Certified certifications are preferred and/or must be obtained.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and 80 pounds periodically.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance.

Nice To Haves

Two-year college degree or greater in the civil engineering field.
Experience working in construction materials testing.
ACI/MCA Concrete Field Testing Technician and Nuclear Safety Certified certifications.
