About The Position

Delaware Valley Paving is expanding into the Dallas, Texas market and is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations for our growing concrete division. The Concrete Superintendent will oversee all aspects of concrete construction projects—from planning and scheduling through execution and closeout—ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role is critical in establishing Delaware Valley Paving’s reputation in the Dallas market by maintaining high-quality standards and strong field leadership. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in concrete construction, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in concrete construction (required)
  • Proven experience in a Superintendent or Foreman leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of concrete operations including flatwork, structural concrete, curbing, and sitework
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules
  • Experience managing crews, subcontractors, and multiple job sites
  • Willingness to travel locally within the Dallas region as needed
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High attention to detail and quality control
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Familiarity with the Dallas/Texas construction market (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of concrete construction projects including layout, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Develop and manage project schedules, manpower planning, and daily production goals
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to align field operations with project timelines and budgets
  • Supervise field personnel including Foremen, Operators, Laborers, and subcontractors
  • Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence and provide leadership to crews
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Ensure all work meets Delaware Valley Paving’s quality standards and client expectations
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and industry best practices
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols on all job sites
  • Conduct site inspections and address any deficiencies or safety concerns immediately
  • Interface with inspectors, contractors, engineers, architects, and clients
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project execution
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates to leadership
  • Assist in resolving field issues, change orders, and project challenges
  • Monitor job costs, productivity, and material usage in the field
  • Identify and address inefficiencies to maintain project profitability
  • Support negotiation and management of subcontractor work as needed
  • Assist in evaluating change orders and field-driven cost impacts
