About The Position

CAT Scale Company is seeking a hardworking, dedicated Construction Foreman to lead a 3–4-person construction crew. This role involves traveling across the United States for 2-3 weeks at a time to maintain and repair CAT Scales. Successful Foremen are great teachers who enjoy coaching and mentoring a diverse team, helping them learn the trade. As a Construction Foreman, you will lead and collaborate with various individuals including laborers, maintenance crews, other foremen, subcontractors, and customers. Responsibilities include concrete work and repair, scale deck repair, trenching for conduit, and using various tools, all while learning to maintain CAT Scale equipment.

Requirements

• 2 years of proven experience leading a crew
• 2+ years of professional concrete experience
• Must live within a 2-hour drive of CAT Scale headquarters in Walcott, Iowa.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or 2-3 weeks at a time, throughout the United States
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to effectively communicate, lead, motivate, and work with all types of people
• Able to work successfully under limited supervision
• Must be accountable for actions, detail-oriented, and take initiative to complete projects
• Ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds regularly
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and bend over for long periods
• Work outside during all types of weather.
• Valid Class A CDL, OR a clean driving record, and eligibility to obtain

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating a skid steer, mini excavator, and other equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities
